Goodman Invited to Attend Two Atlanta Conferences

Posted January 7, 2019

Regents Professor Seymour Goodman was an invited attendee at two recent Atlanta conferences: “Business Continuity and Resiliency Summit,” 10th Annual Atlanta Emergency Preparedness Institute, November 15, 2018; and the 10th Annual Law Enforcement and Private Sector Business Continuity Summit, “Special Event Planning” December 7, 2018.

The 10th Annual Atlanta Emergency Preparedness Institute conference was based on the lessons learned from City of Atlanta Department of Watershed Management (DWM) 36-inch pipe leak and public safety plan for the 2019 Super Bowl. The 10th Annual Law Enforcement and Private Sector Business Continuity Summit focused on special event planning for major large scale events and their impact on both the private and public sectors.

Public safety, emergency, disaster and terrorism preparedness and response will be part of the INTA 4803/8803 course on “Critical Infrastructures” that he will be teaching during the Spring 2019 semester.

Students interested in taking this course are welcome to contact Dr. Seymour Goodman.
